Migration

Nobody can guarantee rankings through a migration, but missing redirects are the most common cause of lost traffic, and those can be prevented. Shopify forces product URLs into /products/ and category URLs into /collections/, so most WooCommerce URLs change. We map each indexed URL, set 301 redirects, carry over titles and meta descriptions and monitor Search Console for 404s after launch.

Products, variations, images, categories, customers, order history, reviews, blog posts and pages. Custom product fields go into Shopify metafields. Customer passwords cannot be transferred, so customers set up their login again the first time they sign in. We check a sample import with you before the full run.

We plan migrations in the same 6–8 week window as a new store build, with a weekly demo throughout. Large catalogues, long order histories or custom integrations can extend it, and the quote says so before you commit.

Yes. We set up Shopify Payments or Mollie for iDEAL, Bancontact, Klarna and cards. For labels and rates we connect Sendcloud, PostNL, DHL or MyParcel. Kampeerwinkel Roermond, a Shopify store we built, offers six payment methods, including iDEAL | Wero, Klarna and KBC/CBC, plus free pickup in its Roermond store.

Stay if your business relies on WordPress content or custom plugins with no Shopify equivalent. Stay if you need full control of hosting and data. And stay if Shopify's fees and app costs outweigh the upkeep you save. You do. The Shopify store is set up in your name, and the theme code, data maps and redirect lists are yours from launch. We work as collaborators on your account, so you can remove our access at any time.

A migration needs clear communication more than a shared office.
