What's included

Support and maintenance services

Website onderhoud, as Dutch teams call it, comes down to three jobs: keeping the site secure and up to date, fixing what breaks and improving what earns money. Our monthly website support covers Shopify maintenance, WordPress and WooCommerce maintenance and Webflow sites, scoped per site so you pay for what your platform needs.

Ongoing work is how our WooCommerce checkout project for Products for Home keeps improving. Good support also starts with a good build: Ovabalance's modular Shopify templates serve 43 products from one foundation. Choosing who to hire for this? Read web development agency vs freelancer.

Shopify maintenance and app reviews

Shopify takes care of hosting and security, but themes and apps still drift. We fix theme bugs, review apps that add weight or cost and check checkout, payments and tracking after each change.

  • Theme fixes and updates
  • App reviews and clean-up
  • Shopify Markets and translation checks
  • New sections and landing pages

WordPress and WooCommerce maintenance

WordPress needs the most care: core, theme and plugin updates, backups and security. We test updates on a staging site before they reach your live shop, keep WooCommerce payments and shipping working and fix what breaks.

  • Core, theme and plugin updates
  • Staging tests before live updates
  • Backups and uptime monitoring
  • Security and malware checks

Monthly improvements, not just upkeep

Most of the value comes after launch: new landing pages, checkout changes, speed fixes and the small features your team asks for. Products for Home is an ongoing improvement project for us, and its WooCommerce checkout funnel brings 40%+ more sales (AvixDigital project data, 2026).

  • A monthly priority list with your team
  • New pages and sections
  • Conversion and speed fixes
  • GA4 and Search Console checks

Who it's for

A developer on call, without hiring one

Who it's for: Dutch and Benelux brands whose Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress or Webflow site matters for revenue or leads, but who have no in-house developer. You want someone who answers, fixes and improves without a full-time hire. Not a fit if your site is a small brochure that rarely changes; a yearly check-up is enough.

Monthly plans are quoted per site, because a large multilingual store and a small Webflow site need different care. The first step is a free 30-minute site review or the €450 Website Growth Audit, credited in full to the build if you go ahead with one. See our pricing.

  • Updates and security

Platform, theme, plugin and app updates tested before they go live, with backups and security checks agreed per site.

  • Fixes from people who know the code

Bug reports go to engineers who know your build. Response times are agreed per plan, so you know what to expect.

  • Ongoing improvements

New pages, sections and conversion fixes each month, prioritised with your team rather than sold as separate projects.

How we work

How we take on
your website

  1. 01

    Review

Week 1: a free site review or the €450 Growth Audit shows what state the site is in and what it needs each month.

  2. 02

    Onboarding

Week 2: we get access and set up backups, staging and monitoring. Then we document the theme, plugins or apps so nothing depends on memory.

  3. 03

    Monthly support

Every month: updates, fixes and the improvements we agreed, with a short report of what changed and what comes next.

  4. 04

    Review & adjust

On a cadence you choose: we review speed, errors and priorities together and adjust the plan. You keep the code and every login.

Website support questions, answered

What Dutch and Benelux teams ask before signing up for monthly website support and maintenance.

How much does website maintenance cost per month?

Monthly plans are quoted per site, because the work depends on the platform, the number of plugins or apps and how much improvement work you want each month. A Webflow site needs less upkeep than a WooCommerce shop with many plugins. If the site needs a rebuild first, websites start from €1,500 and webshops from €2,500 excl. VAT. See our pricing page.

Do you maintain sites you did not build?

Yes. We start with a free site review or the €450 Website Growth Audit to see the code, plugins and hosting, then tell you what we can support as it is and what needs fixing first. The audit fee is credited in full to the build if you go ahead with one.

How quickly can support start, and what if the site needs a rebuild?

After the review, onboarding takes about a week: access, backups, staging and documentation. If the site needs a rebuild first, a typical site or store goes live in 6–8 weeks, with a demo every week of the build, and support picks up from launch.

What does a monthly plan include?

It depends on the platform. WordPress maintenance and WooCommerce maintenance cover core, theme and plugin updates tested on staging, backups and security checks. Shopify maintenance focuses on theme fixes, app reviews and checkout checks. Webflow needs fewer updates, so plans lean towards content and design changes. Every plan can include time for improvements.

How fast do you respond when something breaks?

Response times are agreed per plan and written into it, so you know what to expect before anything goes wrong. Our engineer-led team works from Bangladesh, a few hours ahead of CET, so part of our working day overlaps with Dutch business hours for calls, and work can continue while your office is closed. Calls are in English.

Who owns the code and the logins?

You do. Your domain, hosting, Shopify or Webflow account and code stay in your name, and we work through user access you can remove at any time. If you stop the plan, you keep everything and we hand over notes on the current state of the site.

Can you improve the site, not just maintain it?

Yes, and that is where most of the value is. Products for Home is an ongoing improvement project: its WooCommerce checkout funnel brings 40%+ more sales (AvixDigital project data, 2026), and we keep refining it. Speed work, new landing pages and conversion fixes can run inside a monthly plan. For speed-specific work, see Shopify speed optimisation.

Do you maintain multilingual Shopify stores?

Yes. We built the Dutch, English and German storefronts for Rehall and Kampeerwinkel Roermond, so we know what to check after a change: translations, Shopify Markets settings and local payment methods such as iDEAL and Bancontact. Our guide to the multi-language Shopify store covers the setup.
